It wasnarrated from Abu Hurairah that a black woman used to sweepthemosque. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) noticed she was missing andheasked about her after a few days. He was told that she had died. Hesaid: “Why did you not tell me?” Then he went to her grave andofferedthe funeral prayer for her.
Hadith In Arabic Text :
حدثنا أحمد بن عبدة، أنبأنا حماد بن زيد، حدثنا ثابت، عن أبي رافع، عن أبي هريرة، . أن امرأة، سوداء كانت تقم المسجد ففقدها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فسأل عنها بعد أيام فقيل له إنها ماتت . قال ” فهلا آذنتموني ” . فأتى قبرها فصلى عليها .
