It was narrated from Mu’awiyah that the Messenger of Allah said: “Do not be demanding when asking. If one of you asks me for anything and I give it reluctantly, there will be no blessing in it.”

أخبرنا الحسين بن حريث، قال أنبأنا سفيان، عن عمرو، عن وهب بن منبه، عن أخيه، عن معاوية، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ” لا تلحفوا في المسألة ولا يسألني أحد منكم شيئا وأنا له كاره فيبارك له فيما أعطيته ” .
