Ibn ‘Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) asked Ma’iz b. Malik : Is what I have heard about you is true? He said: What have you heard about me? He said: I have heard that you have had intercourse with a girl belonging to the family of so and so. He said: Yes. He then testified four times. He (The prophet) then gave order regarding him and he was stoned to death.
Hadith In Arabic Text :
حدثنا مسدد، حدثنا أبو عوانة، عن سماك بن حرب، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لماعز بن مالك ” أحق ما بلغني عنك ” . قال وما بلغك عني قال ” بلغني عنك أنك وقعت على جارية بني فلان ” . قال نعم . فشهد أربع شهادات فأمر به فرجم .
