Ibn ‘Umar reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) forbade the eating of the (flesh) of domestic asses on the Day of Khaibar in spite of the fact that people needed that.
Hadith In Arabic Text :
وحدثنا ابن أبي عمر، حدثنا أبي ومعن بن عيسى، عن مالك بن أنس، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر، قال نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن أكل الحمار الأهلي يوم خيبر وكان الناس احتاجوا إليها .
